our logs
Hand peeled log
Use of dead standing and beetle killed trees which have died of natural causes, begins to dry the log even before it is harvested. This wood has very low moisture content which ensures minimal shrinkage as the wood cures and dries further. We primarily use Lodgepole Pine, douglas Fir and Englemont Spruce logs however other species are available. Beetle killed trees often have wood with a subtle blue stain which only adds to the character of the home.
Wood that is already dead is Environmentally Sound!
